What We Do
We sell older gear, and we believe older gear makes more sense for a variety of reasons.
1. Harsh Environment Sometimes it's just a bad idea to have new, expensive gear. Outdoor dirt gigs, dust, rain, heat, theft, rough handling from crew and talent, and bad power come to mind.
2. Limited Funds. Whether you are a DJ, Band or Sound Company, sometimes older gear makes sense for those with limited funds or those just getting started.
3. Depreciation. Figuring high depreciation of new gear vs. older gear at bottom of depreciation cycle? Trust us, there is nothing worse than realizing your gear still hasn't paid for itself by the second year.
4. Reliability and Servicability. Newer stuff, especially Chinese made, seems to usually be non-repairable or "factory fix only" However, the older stuff generally still has bulletproof reliability. JBL-SR series were particularly overbuilt, field-servicable and components are still cheap!
Low Budget. Sometimes you can't justify a 100K system on a 2K job.
